So you want to learn a little more about me. Ok, here’s the gist:
- I love to write!
- My birthday is on Valentine’s Day and I would be rich if I had a dollar for every time someone said “awww, Valentine’s Day baby.” I know: you just thought it yourself.
- Unfortunately, I’m not rich, because people don’t pay you for hearing phrases over and over again during your lifetime.
Not enough? Fine, here are a few more details:
I’ve always loved writing, even from a young age. I spent my formative years in the early ages of the internet. I created an Anglefire webpage, a magazine concept, wrote fan fiction before it was a thing, and spent way too much time writing out angsty teenage thoughts on Livejournal under pseudonyms. All of these things have hopefully now fallen into the annals of internet obscurity.
During college, I spent a lot of time outside of the classroom planning events for the student body and putting together marketing campaigns to promote these student-led events. I even worked on a committee to help conceptualize the University of Central Florida’s homecoming three years in a row.
After college, I spent a lot of time exploring different career paths. I worked multiple sales jobs, a marketing job for a non-profit, and (most recently) as a procurement/supply chain professional from the hospitality industry to manufacturing companies. One thing that I’ve always come back to though, has been my love of writing. In my free time, I found myself helping out small local businesses with their website copy and marketing campaigns.
Because of my varied career, I really understand the needs of diverse businesses. I’ve seen them from all different angles. I love to learn what makes each individual business tick, and why your business is different from your competition. I know how to ask the right questions so I can efficiently find out what your unique needs are and why they’re different.
What should YOU do now?
